A QUICK GUIDE
How to ask someone on a date
Naturally, in your own way.
You don't need a perfect line. A personal invitation works best when it makes clear who you'd like to spend time with, what you'd like to do and roughly when.
1. Suggest something specific
Instead of a vague 'we should do something sometime', offer a small plan: coffee, a walk, or dinner together.
I'd love to try that new coffee place. Want to go together this weekend?
2. Leave room for choice
Offer a couple of dates or let the other person choose. If the first option doesn't work, that doesn't necessarily mean they're not interested.
3. Make it personal
An inside joke or favourite meal gives your invitation character. One genuine line beats a long generic message.
4. Keep it playful, never pushy
The runaway NO button is a little YesDate joke. There is always a real way to decline. Respect whatever answer you get.
5. Agree on the details
With YesDate, you can choose a day, time, food and activities right in the invitation. Replies are saved privately to the sender's account.
